North Bay Medical Learner Education
North Bay Physician LEG Members teach medical learners the clinical aspects of medicine via small-group sessions, lectures and clinical practice preceptorship in North Bay and area. Through NOSM University core and electives experiences, NBPLEG provides medical education in hospital, community clinic and medical office settings.

Home-Based Residency Positions
North Bay is home to five NOSM residency program training positions each year, that are assigned by the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS):

NOSM University Medical Program
North Bay is part of NOSM University’s collaborative network of Northern Ontario partners providing a distributed care model for medical training. North Bay hosts NOSM University medical students at all levels, including community placements and comprehensive community clerkship placements in year three.

NOSM University Medical Electives
NOSM University offers undergraduate medical student and postgraduate resident elective placements in family medicine and specialty disciplines. Electives are available in remote, small urban and tertiary center clinical learning settings in northern Ontario.
