NBPLEG Member Research

Funding is available to NBPLEG members to support their local research projects. Applications for funding include a detailed research proposal & budget.

Examples of previously approved LEG Research projects include:

  • Surgical Site Infection Project
  • ECT Competency Training Project
  • Practice Improvement Initiative Workshop for QI (PII)

 

North Bay Resident Research Support

North Bay Home-Based NOSM Residents (Family Medicine & Psychiatry) are eligible to submit receipts, up to $500, for reimbursement for expenses related to their residency research project. Examples of eligible expenses include poster printing, chart retrieval fees, software expenses, etc.

Additionally, the LEG will reimburse Residents up to $500 for travel expenses related to presentation of their research project at a conference.

Requests for research support funding must be submitted before the expense is incurred. Funding will not be approved post‐activity or post‐conference

NOAMA AFP Innovation Fund

The AFP Innovation Fund provides funding to support the development of new and innovative approaches to health care delivery and to provide leadership in the dissemination of new knowledge across the healthcare system. Physicians in Northern Ontario have the opportunity to access these funds to support their research or investigation of new and creative methodologies for health care delivery, and knowledge dissemination.
